High Output in a Compact Body

Despite its modest size, the L120-B delivers serious performance. It produces up to 23,900 lux at 1 metre when paired with the supplied 45° ultra reflector, making it more than capable of key lighting interviews, small sets, and product setups. Brighter than the earlier L60-B, it offers a step up in output while remaining easy to pack and carry.

Flexible Colour and Creative Control

The adjustable 2700K to 6500K colour temperature range makes it easy to match ambient light or create a specific mood. High CRI, TLCI, and SSI ratings ensure natural skin tones and accurate colours, reducing time spent on colour correction in post. The L120-B is also flicker-free up to 4,000 fps, making it suitable for high-speed shooting.

Built-In FX and Quiet Operation

For creative video work, the L120-B includes nine adjustable lighting effects such as lightning, fire, TV screen flicker, faulty bulb, pulse, paparazzi flashes, headlights, SOS, and emergency lights. The internal fan is low-noise by default, with a silent fan mode available at 30% output, ideal for interviews and noise-sensitive environments.

Power Options and Control

The light includes an AC adapter for continuous use from mains power and can also be powered by compatible 14.4V or 14.8V D-Tap batteries using an optional cable. Local controls and a clear LCD screen make on-unit adjustments straightforward, while the free Westcott StudioLink app for iOS and Android allows wireless control of multiple L Series lights and firmware updates.

Modifier Compatibility and Mounting

A Bowens S-Type mount provides access to a wide range of light modifiers, and Westcott includes a Rapid Box Switch insert for use with their softboxes. The metal tilting bracket features a 16 mm receiver, rotates 360°, and includes an umbrella mount for added flexibility when shaping light.

Joshua X. ★★★★★

Picked this up for an interview shoot and the colour accuracy really impressed me—skin tones looked natural straight out of camera. The fan noise is barely audible even on max brightness, which saved me in a quiet room.

Avery ★★★★★

Was a bit nervous about the size, but this thing is genuinely ultra-compact for a 120W COB light—fits right into my run-and-gun bag. The bi-colour adjustment is smooth and the colour accuracy out of the box is spot on for skin tones.

Samuel ★★★★★

Even at 120W, this little light throws out way more punch than I expected for its size—the fan is nearly silent, which is a lifesaver for dialogue scenes. Bi-colour switching is instant and the colour stays accurate from 2700K to 6500K, so I’ve been using it as my main key light for product videos.
