Tether Tools TetherPro Optima 10G USB-C TetherBoost Locking Extension Cable 16’ (4.8m) Orange

Designed for photographers who rely on fast, stable tethered shooting, the TetherPro Optima 10G USB-C TetherBoost Locking Extension Cable lets you extend your connection without sacrificing speed or reliability. This 4.8 m extension pairs with any TetherPro Optima base cable to create a custom length up to 19.2 m, while maintaining full 10 Gbps data transfer. With Tether Tools’ SecureLock system and built-in TetherBoost Pro technology, it delivers a solid, interference-free connection that resists accidental unplugging and keeps image transfer smooth and dependable, even in busy studio or location environments.

The Perfect Cable For

• Studio photographers who need longer tether runs without losing transfer speed or stability.
• Location shooters working with laptops on carts or stands, where cables are at risk of being pulled or stepped on.
• High-resolution stills and video workflows that demand consistent 10 Gbps data performance.
• Anyone building a modular tethering setup using TetherPro Optima base cables.

SecureLock and TetherBoost Performance

The custom SecureLock mechanism slides into place on TetherPro Optima Flexi-Connect tips, clicking securely with a visible indicator to confirm the lock. This keeps the connection stable even when the cable is tugged or moved during a shoot. Inside the extension, dual TetherBoost Pro chipsets amplify the signal, allowing full 10 Gbps transfer speeds to be maintained over longer distances than standard USB-C cables.

Rugged Build for Studio and Location Use

An octagonal outer housing and polypropylene inner sleeve give the cable excellent crush resistance, while the kink-proof, braided and shielded exterior protects against wear, signal interference and repeated bending. The design stands up well to being rolled over by carts or stepped on, making it well suited to demanding professional environments.
