The boom arm adjusts smoothly even under the weight of a softbox, and the sandbag adds real peace of mind. It collapses down to 114cm, which makes it easy to stash in my trunk between shoots.

I was worried about stability with a heavy softbox, but the sandbag keeps everything planted even when I extend the boom to its full 395cm reach.
