Benro VX20 Ballhead with PU50X Plate

The dual panoramic knobs are genius—I can level the base plate separately from the clamp for perfect pano shots without fighting the drag. Locks down tight with zero creep even under my heavy 70-200mm lens.

I was really surprised by how smoothly the ballhead adjusts even under heavy load, and the separate pan control on the quick-release plate gives me much better framing control for multi-row panoramas.

I was a bit worried about weight, but the quick-release plate locks securely and makes swapping between tripod setups effortless. The tension on the ballhead is smooth and precise, even with my heavier telephoto lens.
